Phoenix Staff, Volunteers, and Youth participants are committed to serving Arlington, in the shop and out. We teach bike safety and mechanics at schools and community centers, assist in bike rodeos, join teen events, bring bike repair days to neighborhoods in need, and speak out for bikes in Arlington. Please contact if you have an idea that Phoenix might be able to help with.

Phoenix also hosts Community BBQs throughout the year. These give diverse Volunteers, Supporters, Customers, Youth Mechanics, and Neighbors to meet, eat, exchange favorite bike stories. This year our summer BBQ included "Mohawk's AlleyCat Race," open to youth and volunteers. Racers had to find various locations, perform different bike-related tasks, and watch out for 'sharks' that steal bikes (or sometimes just parts). Osman won this summer's race and received a donated BMX that he is now building in the shop. The competition was fierce though; no safe bets on next race's winner. Hopefully we'll see you there!
