Summer Outreach Coordinator (Volunteer or Intern)
Get to know Phoenix Bikes and the cycling community by helping coordinate shop presence at community events around Arlington and DC, such as farmer's markets, bike rides, festivals, & fairs.
Can be structured as an internship, 10 to 30 hours a week, for a student looking for great, community organizing experience, or as a great opportunity for an outgoing, active volunteer.
Mechanics skill a plus, but not necessary.
Occasional weekend & evening events.
Summer Arts Coordinator
Every Thursday at Phoenix Bikes we like to bring an opportunity for creative growth the youth mechanics. If you would like to help us teach, or help us bring in artists to teach, these short sessions, this is an opportunity to work with youth in a fun, energized setting. Work can include painting, writing, robotics, sculpture, drawing, printing, etc.
Can be structured as an internship, 10 to 30 hours a week, for a student looking to learn, grow and experiment as an arts educator, or as a great opportunity for a volunteer looking for an more in-depth opportunity.
Experience with arts and/or after-school programming desired.
Thursday afternoons, july through mid-august.
