Phoenix Bikes' Top Five Needs:
1. New location for Phoenix Community Bike Shop in South Arlington. Due to redevelopment of the park and the constraints of our current location, Phoenix Bikes must move out of Barcroft! Please tell us if you know of any warehouse or commercial space in south Arlington, or donate to the Kennan Garvey Memorial Fund which will help us make the move once a space is identified.
2. Join Friends of Phoenix. Learn more about joining Phoenix Bikes in its commitment to the social, environmental, and physical health of DC Metro, as an individual, business, bike shop, or foundation, or contact us with any questions or ideas. Thank you to those who have already joined!
3. Shop Wish List:
- Bicycle Floor Pumps
- 15mm & other metric box wrenches & 3-way Metric allen keys
- Shop broom
- PIZZA! We are looking for a business to sponsor snacks (anything goes, but healthy is great) for Friday afternoon activities - snacks will help keep kids at the shop on friday evenings and bring excitement to our weekly "First Slice" bike races and shop competitions.
- Safety equipment for bike rides & shop - blinking taillights, headlights, eyewash, latex gloves
- Cleaning solvent (Simple Green or similar)
- Sign printing, sticker printing
- Pamphlet holder
- Permanent markers
