Phoenix Bikes’ youth and community programs rely on donated bikes! Bikes (as well as parts, accessories, racks, etc.) are earned and customized by youth mechanics, used for Team Phoenix youth rides, donated to community members in need of transportation, or refurbished and ,a href="/shop/bikes-in-stock">sold at the shop to support Phoenix’s educational programs. Youth mechanics learn from Phoenix staff, volunteer mentors, and peers how to maintain and repair the bikes, while gaining business skills, problem solving experience, and confidence that comes from concrete accomplishments and service to community.
Most our bikes come to from individual donors who have realized they have a bike that isn’t being ridden as much as it should be. That bike in your garage could change somebody’s life!

To donate a bike, bring it by the shop during any open hours.
You can also bring your bike to Bike and Roll in Washington, DC. In winter, call before heading down there to confirm hours.
Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a way to pick-up donated bikes. However, if you have a group of bikes to donate (condominiums, churches, community bike drives, etc.), or regularly have bikes (bike shops, police departments, etc.), it may be possible for us to coordinate a volunteer pick-up. Contact us with details or questions if you have a bunch of bikes!
Thanks for your support - hope to see you at the shop soon!
